Take pictures of the space to be designed?

Take pictures of any furniture or items that will remain in the space?

Measure length and width of the space to determine square footage?

Measure the length of each wall?

Measure the ceiling height of the space?

Measure the length, width and height of each door? Include door swing and placement on the wall.

On each wall, measure the length, width and height of each window.

Note and measure the type of trim on each window, note views from each window and the ordinal orientation.

On each wall, measure the placement of electrical outlets , cable, heaters and video outlets.

List and measure the dimensions of any architectural elements that will remain in place.

E.g. archways, fireplaces, built in shelves, molding, columns, baseboards.

List and measure the dimensions of any furnishings that will remain in the space.

Rugs, furniture, lighting, etc.

Note existing flooring materials and color.

Record any existing color schemes.

Any other notes about the space from the site walk through?
